Ron Howard's career started quite early - he became a famous actor for playing Opie Taylor on the Andy Griffith Show in the 1960's then catapulted to superstar-stardom playing Richie Cunningham on Happy Days. After Happy Days was over, Ron moved into directing, and became wildly successful. Films that Howard has directed include Splash (1984), Backdraft (1991), Apollo 13 (1995), A Beautiful Mind (2001), The Da Vinci Code (2006), and Rush (2013). Most recently, Ron has directed Inferno (2016) and The Beatles: Eight Days a Week (2016). Howard married Cheryl Alley in 1975 and they have 4 children and reside in Conneticut.

Little known fact: Ron directed the film Skyward which was written by Anson Williams (Potsie) and also starred Marion Ross (Mrs Cunningham).
